Recently in the US, passive investments passed active investments in terms of assets under management (ie – over 50% of total assets under management in the US is in passive investments).

As is often said of the Canadian wealth management space – we’re about 20 years behind.  It was estimated that at the end of 2022 only 15.5% of investments are in passive vehicles.

Countless studies have been written on the topic, and it’s the only honest way that the wealth management industry should go.
